Why fluid maintenance is so important:

Brake

The Problem: Brake fluid is subjected to not only to internal contamination (wear from internal parts) but also from external sources such as (moisture and condensation). Condensation in the system accumulates about 1 to 2 percent per year. After three years you can have up to 6 percent of water in your system. You can experience brake fade with as little as 3 percent of water in your system. Water in the system does not only lead to brake fade it also corrodes internal components leading to brake failure and costly repairs. If you had to replace your ABS anti lock braking system because of corrosion due to water, you can easily spend 1500.00 to 2000.00 dollars. Because of these factors it is critical that you have your brake fluid exchanged every 1 to 3 years or 30k miles.

The Solution: We hook up a special brake fluid exchanger machine to your vehicle. This machine pressurizes our premium brake fluid and supplies it to the vehicles reservoir. At the same time that the machine is feeding a constant supply of pressurized brake fluid to the vehicles reservoir a technician removes the vacuum hose from the machine and vacuums the old fluid out of the brake system through the wheel cylinder bleed valve. The exchange is complete when the fluid being extracted from the bleed valves run clear.

Coolant

The Problem: Coolant system failure is the second leading cause of roadside break down according to the transportation department, second only to flat tires. There is no other fluid in your vehicle that is designed to carry out more function than your Anti Freeze. Its designed to keep your vehicle running cool on the hottest summer day, as well as keeping your from freezing up in the dead of winter. Anti freeze also has to regulate the PH value of the coolant system so that the system does not get to acidic or to caustic and corrodes internal parts of the coolant system. Anti freeze is designed with a buffering agent from the manufacturer to help regulate the PH value of the system. The problem is when the fluid gets old it runs out of its buffering agent allowing the system to get to acidic with green coolant, or to caustic with Dexcool type coolants. Discoloration of the coolant is an indication that the PH of the system is incorrect and that internal components are starting to break down. Once the system has been jeopardized it is difficult to reverse the deterioration of the system.

The Solution: First, we install a premium coolant system cleaner which is poured directly into the coolant system prior to performing the exchange. The cleaner circulates in the system while the vehicle warms ups, it removes hard water deposits that collect on the ends of the coolant tubes, restricting the flow of coolant in the system. Then we hook up a coolant machine to the vehicle and remove the old coolant and replace it with a new 50/50 mix of anti freeze and H2O. The last step is to install a premium coolant system conditioner which is designed to boost the buffering package, add rust inhibitors and anti foaming agents.

Transmission

The Problem: As transmission fluid ages, debris from the internal wear of the transmission begins to build up in the fluid, and if left unattended can severely limit the fluids ability to clean and lubricate the transmission. Transmission fluid is designed to clean the inner parts of the transmission, suspending the wear debris in the fluid until which time that the fluid can be exchanged removing all debris with the old fluid. At 30k most transmission fluids have accumulated enough debris that it resembles dirty motor oil and is ready to be exchanged. Most people put off having this service performed until they start having shifting problems, but by that time it is too late the damage is done. It''s not uncommon to spend 3000.00 to 5000.00 to replace your transmission on today''s high tech vehicles; it clearly does not pay to neglect your transmission fluid.

The Solution: We first install a cleaning product which removes any soft deposits and suspends it in the old transmission fluid. We then hook up a transmission flush machine to your vehicle utilizing the factory cooler lines and perform a transmission flush service. The machine hooks up in line and performs a one for one exchange. For every quart of transmission fluid the transmission pump sends to the machine, the machine sends the same amount of fluid back to the vehicle. An inline flush such as this replaces up to 97 percent of a vehicle''s transmission fluid. When the exchange is complete we check the level of the fluid and then pour in a conditioner to aid in extending the life of the fluid.

Oil

The Problem: Engine oil is under tremendous heat and pressure and gets contaminated by combustion chamber gases. This is the reason oil has to be changed out. Traditionally, oil changes leave 10 to 20 percent of the contaminated oil in the engine. After a period of time this contaminated oil can affect engine performance, engine life, emissions, and cause decreased fuel mileage. These all can lead to costly repairs in the future.

When the fluid breaks down from contamination, pressure, and heat, it loses its ability to keep internal and external seals conditioned. This can cause premature seal failure, which causes engine oil leaks that can be very expensive to repair or, even worse, cause the loss of too much oil damaging the engine.

Auto manufacturers are allowing more time between maintenance intervals, thus causing more opportunity for engine oil viscosity breakdown and sludge to occur.

The Solution: Adding engine oil conditioner will provide additional protection against extreme friction and conditions to help the engine run smoother, cooler and quieter under low and high temperature conditions. Engine oil conditioner reduces oil consumption and oil burning when added at or between oil changes. It will also reduce engine sludge, oil thickening, and engine wear. Conditioner prolongs protection during extended oil services.

Fuel

The Problem: Even with today''s cleaner burning fuels we still are seeing a significant level of build up in and around the combustion chamber, and in the air intake system or throttle body. This build up is the byproduct of burning a petroleum based fuel to power our automobiles. It of hard backed on carbon in areas where the fuel mixture comes in contact with extreme heat as in the combustion chamber, or varnish and sludge where unburned fuel is fed back into the engine to be re-burned mainly in the air intake system or throttle body. As we drive these deposits slowly buildup on critical fuel system components, robbing your vehicle of its like new performance. Noticeable symptoms may be as simple as a slight hesitation when you accelerate, to the vehicle running very rough and a lack of power on acceleration in more severe cases.

The Solution: First, we pour in a bottle of premium fuel system cleaner into the vehicles tank which cleans the entire fuel system as you drive. Then, a technician hooks up a pressurized fuel rail tool directly to the vehicles fuel rail running the vehicle on 100% cleaner. The fuel injector cleaner travels through the injectors and into the combustion chamber through ally cleaning both areas. Finally the throttle body is cleaned and lubricated using a premium air intake system cleaner. To complete the service the vehicle is then driven to blow out any remaining deposit.

Power Steering

The Problem: Power steering fluid is one of the hardest worked fluids in a vehicle. Most power steering system operates at 1500 psi. Couple that with intense heat and fluid sheering and you has a recipe for a major breakdown. Not only is your power steering one of the hardest working in your vehicle, it is also one of the most overlooked. The only time that a person gives any thought to his/her power steering system is when they head a whining noise or the steering wheel is hard to turn. As power steering fluid ages it loses its ability to lubricate internal moving parts leading to a whining noise, and it also loses its ability to keep internal seals and o-rings soft and conditioned leading to oil leaks.

The Solution: Using a power steering flush machine we first exchange your old power steering fluid with new power steering fluid. This new fluid has a cleaning additive which helps to remove any soft build up in the system. We stop several times during this step and turn the vehicles steering wheel back of forth 3 complete times to help remove the dirty fluid which is trapped in the rack. We then finish the power steering exchange by installing our power steering conditioners. The conditioners in the fluid are designed to help keep all internal seals and o-rings soft and pliable.

HVAC

The Problem: Because most people run their Heating and Air Conditioning system constantly it never has an opportunity to dry out. Thus giving mold and mildew the perfect environment it needs to grow. A byproduct of this growth is an unhealthy musty smell noticeable when you start your vehicle on a summer''s day. This annoying odor does not only smell bad, but it is very unhealthy to breath because of the presence of air born spores emitted from the mold and mildew in its reproduction cycle. Most people are not aware of the fact that the air in your vehicle can harbor more air born pollutants than the air outside of it. These pollutants have been documented as the cause of headaches, sinus problems and dizziness in some people.

The Solution: First, we clean the dirty evaporator core (where the mold and mildew grows) with a premium ventilation treatment cleaner. This product is administered to the system through the fresh air pick up duct at the base of the windshield. The vehicles fan motor draws the cleaner through the evaporator core instantly killing the mold and mildew when it comes in contact with it. Secondly, address any remaining odder in the cabin of the vehicle by administering a premium HVAC enzymatic treatment. This product which is in the form of a fine aerosol mist is set off inside the vehicle with its widows closed and the AC on high. The active enzymes in the product aid in the brake down of the odor molecules leaving the vehicle smelling fresh, clean and healthy.
